Casa Lidia is a beautifully presented, detached house on the edge of a small village, with views across the countryside to the sea. Ensconced within garden walls and mature flowering shrubs, and not overlooked by any other houses, Casa Lidia is a perfect, private hideaway. If you stir from the pool or shaded terrace, you'll find - all within a ten minute drive - the exceptional golf courses of Quinta da Ria, the charming village of Cacela and the wonderful beach at Manta Rota.

Prices are in euros for the property per week, regardless of the number of people (maximum 4).

What is the accommodation like ?

Casa Lidia was renovated during 2004 to a very high standard throughout. For a large part of the year, it i s the home of the owners, and is thus very comfortable and fully equipped. It sleeps a maximum of four, but is also perfect and spacious for couples. There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom (both with fitted wardrobes). There is a shower room with WC. The attractive lounge is equipped Satellite TV (BBC World only in English) and CD player. There is a large, modern kitchen and dining room fully equipped for self -catering, including: fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and washing machine.

How big is the house ?

The total interior floor area is 905 square feet / 84 square metres.

What outside spaces and facilities are there ?

There is a large and lovely shaded terrace for the summer, from which you look out to the swimming pool and the view to the sea. There are chairs and table for outside dining as well as chairs for relaxation - in the sun or the shade. There is also a shower room and WC off the terrace. The pool is 5m x 6m, with corner entry steps. There is a small roof terrace for views of the stars at night.

Change over days are Saturdays. Check-in is at 15.00 hrs and check-out 11.00 hrs.

For how long can we stay ?

The minimum stay is 7 nights. You can stay for one, two or more weeks.

How private is the house ?

The house is detached and completely private.

How close are the nearest food shops ?

There is a good small supermarket and a daily produce market five minutes drive away at Vila Nova de Cacela. There is another small supermarket close by at Conceição de Tavira. There are larger supermarkets and many other food shops 10 minutes drive away in Tavira.

How close is the nearest restaurant ?

There are two restaurants in Cacela Velha and several more in Vila Nova de Cacela and Manta Rota - all within 10 minues drive. Near-by Cabanas and Tavira offer a great wealth of restaurants, many of which specialise in seafood.

How close is the nearest beach ?

The nearest beaches are at Fábrica (five minute drive), Manta Rota, Lote and Cabanas (ten minute drive).

What is there to do at Casa Lidia ?

Casa Lidia is in the country so there are no organised activities near-by. The house is a great place just to relax, enjoy the pool, enjoy time off. Beaches and golf are both close by. If you want to explore, its an excellent central base from which to discover the eastern Algarve.

Do we need to hire a car ?

Yes. Casa Lidia is in the country, so a car is essential to get about.

How far is Casa Lidia from the airport ?

Casa Lidia is about a 45 minute drive from Faro airport. (flights UK - Faro)

Can we smoke in the house ?

No. Ash trays are provided outside for smoking. Smokers, please take great care with disposal of matches and cigarettes as there is a heightened risk of fire in the summer months.
