A dream house 'far from the madding crowds'. Situated up in the hills north of Tavira, Casa Miradoura offers you serenity in style. Whether you are lazing in bed in the tower bedroom, taking lunch on the shaded terrace, soaking up the sun on the pool terrace or cooling off in the pool, you have views all the way down to the sea. It may be hard to stir from Casa Miradouro, but if you do, you'll find the charming town of Tavira just 10 minutes scenic drive down the hill and access to the long white sand beaches of the Ria Formosa just a further 5 minutes on. A fantastic honeymoon house or great fun for two couples sharing.

What is the accommodation like ? Floorplan Facilities
On the ground floor, you enter into the large open-plan dining room and kitchen, which is the centre of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. On the east side of the dining area is the second bedroom, with side-by-side twin beds. Adjacent to the bedroom is the master bathroom, which features a large corner bath, double hand basins, a huge mirror, WC and bidet. The west side of the dining area opens into Casa Miradouro's characteristic tower. On the ground floor is the lounge, which is equipped with a music player. Following the staircase upwards brings you to the main bedroom. This has an en-suite shower room, fitted wardrobe, access to the roof terrace and views to the sea.
How big is the house ?
The interior floor area of the house is 1212 square feet / 112 square metres.
What outside spaces and facilities are there ?
Casa Miradouro is as much about outside spaces as inside spaces. The kitchen/dining area opens out onto a covered terrace, shaded with passion vines, where there is a dining table. The terrace continues the length of the house, where there is a further small table and chairs - ideal for sundowners - and a barbeque. Below the tower is a raised terrace for sunbathing, complete with teak sun loungers and overlooking the pool. Steps lead to down to the teak-decked pool terrace and the 13 metre long pool. All of these areas are completely private, enjoy sun all day long and views down to the coast. Another flight of steps takes you down into the small citrus orchard where there are oranges, lemons, grapefruit and clementines growing.

Change-over day is Saturday. Check-in time is 15.00 and check out time is 11.00.
For how long can we stay ?
The minimum stay is 7 nights. We advise you stay for two weeks as one is just not enough.
How close are the nearest food shops ?
Fifteen minutes drive down the hill brings you to Tavira, with its great fresh food market, large supermarket and other food shops.
How close is the nearest restaurant ?
There are two local cafe/restaurants just 5 minutes walk away, one up the hill and one down the hill. Both are run by local families. The food is local Portuguese faire that is best ordered in the morning or the day before. The many restaurants of Tavira, St Luzia and Cabanas are a 15 minute drive away.
How close is the nearest beach ?
The nearest beaches are at Tavira, Cabanas and Terra Estreita (St.Luzia), all about 15 minutes drive away.
What is there to do ?
Relax, unwind, look at the view, read a book, open another bottle of vinho verde, enjoy each other's company. This is a place to get away from it all, so do.

How far is the airport ?
Casa Miradouro is about a 45 minute drive from Faro airport.
Can we smoke in the house ?
No. Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside.
