Further information

What is the accommodation like ?                                         Facilities

The Cottage sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. There is a double bed in one room and two twin beds in the second room. The bathroom with shower/bath, hand basin and WC is accessed from the twin bedroom. There is a lounge/dining room with direct access to the shaded terrace. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. The kitchen, lounge/dining room, and both bedrooms are connected by a series of archways without doors, so that - other than the bathroom - the cottage is to a certain extent an open, communal living space.

The Annex has a separate entrance to the cottage. A large studio room contains a double sofa bed, a kitchenette and dining space and door to a small cloakroom with WC and hand-basin. It has large double glass doors looking out onto its own area of the garden. Opening off the studio room through an archway is a bedroom equipped with bunk beds sleeping two.

There is a separate simple bathroom with shower, WC and hand-basin with its own entrance outside.

What outside spaces and facilities are there ?

The Cottage has a partly shaded, south-facing balcony running the length of it, which looks out over the pool, the garden and the river valley.

The pool is the original water tank, beautifully converted, with access via steps both outside and inside. It measures 5m x 5m x 1.65m deep.

There is a lovely outside eating area under a vine-covered pergola from which you can pick the grapes from where you sit.

The house has garden space for children to play in, and is equipped with a large trampoline.

To the front and side of the house, the land slopes down to the river bed (mostly dry in summer) such that you can walk directly from the house up and down the valley.

The many restaurants of Tavira and St Luzia are a 10/15 minute drive away. There is a good local restaurant just 5 minutes drive away where food must be ordered the day before.

This is a place to get away from it all, so do.
