Casa dos Bon Ares occupies a privileged spot in the hills north of Tavira. On arriving, the first thing that will strike you is the silence - if you want some peace and quiet you will find it here in abundance. Add to that the uninterrupted views down to the coast from the house, the terraces and the pool, and you have a recipe for relaxation that you won't want to leave.

Prices are in pounds Sterling (GBP) for the property per week, regardless of the number of people (maximum 6).

What is the accommodation like ?                      Facilities

The house is built around the view, with all rooms looking out south-east to the sea through large, bright windows. It is arranged on three levels. At the entrance level, there are two bedrooms. One is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and French windows opening onto its own balcony. The second has twin beds placed together and also French windows opening onto its own balcony. They share a bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC.

Going up a level is the third bedroom with twin beds placed together, French windows to the upper terrace (with outside staircase to the pool terrace) and en-suite bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC. The is also a separate shower room on this level.

On the ground floor level is the kitchen and lounge/dining room. The kitchen if fully equipped for self-catering and is a lovely bright room with French windows out onto the terrace. The lounge is equipped with Satellite TV and DVD/CD. There is a dining table for 6 people. Again, it is a lovely bright room with double French windows opening out onto the terrace.

The house has air-conditioning throughout and is being newly furnished this year to a high standard.

What outside spaces and facilities are there ?

Each bedroom has its own terrace. On the ground level, a shaded terrace runs the length of the house and is equipped with outside dining for 6 people. Steps lead down onto the pool terrace with a 10m x 4m pool and sun loungers. Surrounding the house is a landscaped hillside garden which is fully fenced.

On which day(s) can we arrive/leave ?

Change-over days are Saturdays.  Check-in time is 15.00 hrs. Check out time is 10.00 hrs.

For how long can we stay ?

The minimum stay is 7 nights, though you'll probably want to stay longer.

How close are the nearest food shops ?

The nearest food shops are in Tavira, a ten minute drive down the hill. Here, you are spoilt for choice of good supermarkets and a great daily fresh produce market.

How close is the nearest restaurant ?

There is a huge choice of good restaurants in Tavira, serving Portuguese and  International cuisine, with many specialising in sea food.

How close is the nearest beach ?

The nearest beaches are at Tavira, Cabanas and St.Luzia, all about a 15 min drive + short boat ride away.

What is there to do ?

Casa dos Bon Ares is the perfect venue to kick back and do nothing: read a book, swim in the pool, enjoy the view, walk in the silence of the hills.

Do we need to hire a car ?

Yes. Casa dos Bon Ares is off the beaten track.

How far is the airport ?

Faro Airport is about 45 minutes drive away.

Can we smoke in the house ?

No. Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside.
