Cabeço beach is the stretch of beach between Praia Verde to the west and Monte Gordo to the east. The entrance is a bit hidden away and consequently access isn't as busy as its two big neighbours. And here, the pine woods come right to the back of the beach. Some choice dining on the beach and civilised sunbathing to be enjoyed here.
Access to Cabeço beach
By car and on foot. Turn off the N125 just after Praia Verde going east and before Monte Gordo where you see the sign for Cabeço. Drive through the pine woods on a mainly sand and dirt track until you find yourselves at the back of Cabeço beach. Ditch the car - preferably in the shade and on hard sand - and walk onto the beach. What could be simpler ?
