What is the accommodation like ?

Sea View Apartment occupies the top floor of the three floor apartment block. The apartment is modern and of good quality throughout. There is a long lounge/dining area with large double glass doors to the lower, southwest-facing, terrace. The double bedroom also has double glass doors opening out onto the same terrace. The bathroom has a bath with a shower in it. There is fitted kitchen which is fully equipped for self catering, which opens onto the south-east facing balcony. Both bedroom and lounge have air-conditioning for summer and warm air heating for winter. There is English satellite TV in the lounge.

What outside spaces and facilities are there ?

Sea View Apartment has three roof terraces. The main terrace faces southwest and is accessed from both the living room and the bedroom. You have views to the waterfront just at the end of the street. You can dine outside on this terrace or sunbathe on reclining sunbeds. Also from this terrace you can access the upper roof terrace, which has all round views over the Ria Formosa and to the sea to the south and to the hills to the north. It also makes a more secluded spot in which to sun bathe. There is a further terrace facing south east and accessed from the kitchen, also with views to the Ria Formosa and the sea. This is sunny at breakfast time and shaded during hot summer afternoons. The three terraces make the apartment as big outside as inside and offer you combinations of views, sun, shade, breeze and lee to make your stay confortable and make the most of the apartment's great waterside and town location.

What is it like walking from the property ?

Fifty paces to the left of the front door and you are at the water front. Several paces fewer and you are already in the closest of Cabanas's many pavement cafe's, where you can enjoy a coffee, a beer, a glass of wine and a snack with your face in the sun and the breeze in your hair. Walking left along the waterfront you will pass many more cafe's and restaurants and bars and come to the small pontoon for the boats that take you across to the fabulous, white sand beach of Cabanas. Walking further east, you can walk out of Cabanas and explore the coast line of the Ria Formosa and the fort. If you walk west along the waterfront, you again pass more cafe's, bar's (including an Irish one) and restaurants (fish and sea food especially) and come to the small fishing harbour.

How close is the nearest beach ?

The nearest beach is Cabanas, which you reach by small ferry boats which leave from the waterfront about 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

How close are the nearest food shops ?

The largest food shop in Cabanas is about 2 minutes walk away down a side street.

How close are the nearest restaurants ?

There are lots of them and they are all within five minutes walk. Many specialise in seafood.

How far is the nearest airport ?

The nearest airport is at Faro, about a 45 minute drive away. If you ask us to arrange a taxi transfer for you, you can let our taxi driver worry about that.

Do we need to hire a car ?

No. We can arrange a Taxi transfer from the airport and then you spend your holiday strolling around Cabanas and up and down the beach. Everything is right on your doorstep: the waterfront, restaurants, shops, cafe's, bars, entertainment, the ferry to the beach. Only hire a car with us if you wish to explore further afield in the Eastern Algarve or if you wish to drive to the different golf courses to play. Also, Cabanas train station is just ten minutes walk up the road, where you can catch the train into Tavira, Fuzeta, Olhão, Faro and Vila Real.

What is there to do ?

Stroll the waterfront, eat and drink to your heart's content, enjoy the beach, enjoy the night life in summer, soak up the atmosphere and the sun. And if you're a golfer, you'll find three great golf courses nearby, one within walking distance.

This is an apartment for couples or singles only.

Are pets welcome ?

No, sorry pets.

Can we smoke in the property ?

No. Smoking only on the terraces outside, please.

We have a flexible arrival and departure day at Sea View Apartment.

Check in is at 16.00 and check out is at 10.00. We can be as flexible as possible with these times. We can also arrange and early luggage drop off.

Is there a minimum/maximum length of stay ?

Yes, there is a minimum of 7 nights stay.

Is there anything else I should know about the property ?
